There is nothing quite like living College Baseball than being in Omaha, Nebraska for the College World Series. It is an almost spiritual feeling being in the presence of so much energy and hope. All through the winter one can dream while digging through the snow that he or she will be sitting in the stands at TD Ameritrade Park, sipping an iced tea and watching a ball game as the sun sets and melts away the day’s humidity.
For anyone who is a college baseball fan, you must go to Omaha. For those on the fence, you must go as well. Pick a team and cheer them on all the way. Stop at the local bars in the area for a drink, do the Road to Omaha 5k Run and take a lap on the field. Go to the village and purchase all of your gear. Spend time with your family enjoying the “Greatest Show on Dirt.”
I never had an experience like I did at the CWS. All the pictures don’t do it justice. It was baseball at its purest; the game as it should be played. What a wile ride it was.
